Liza Baliasnaja

Liza Baliasnaja (1996) is a Lithuanian per­for­mer, dan­cer and cho­re­o­grap­her cur­rent­ly living in Brussels. In 2017 she col­la­bo­ra­ted on Figures, a duet with a col­lea­gue Sidney Barnes and in 2018 she cho­re­o­grap­hed Commensurate to be with, a pie­ce for M. Žilinskio art gal­lery in Kaunas, Lithuania. Since gra­du­a­ting from P.A.R.T.S in 2016, Liza has been invol­ved as a per­for­mer in the works of Mårten Spångberg such as Gerhard Richter, une piè­ce pour le théâ­tre and Natten, Eszter Salamon in MONUMENT 0.4: LORES & PRAXES (a ritu­al of trans­for­ma­ti­on) and in a recent work of Eglė Budvitytė and Ula Sickle. Liza is cur­rent­ly enrol­led in BA of Philosophy in KU Leuven University. She is acti­ve­ly per­for­ming and devel­o­ping her artis­tic work bet­ween Belgium and Lithuania.
