Inga Huld Hákonardóttir

Inga Huld Hákonardóttir (1990, Iceland) is cur­rent­ly based in Brussels whe­re she works as cho­re­o­grap­her, per­for­mer and dan­cer. She gra­du­a­ted from P.A.R.T.S in 2014 and has cre­a­ted seve­r­al per­for­man­ce works in various col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve con­stel­la­ti­ons. With Rósa Ómarsdóttir she cre­a­ted and per­for­med in The Valley, Wilhelm Scream, and Da Da Dans (a com­mis­si­on for The Icelandic Dance Company). With Katie Vickers she cre­a­ted and per­for­med in Slogan For Modern Times and the trio We Will Have Had Darker Futures, a col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with cho­re­o­grap­her Rebecka Stillman. Again The Sunset is her most recent work, made in col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with artist Yann Leguay. It is a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­na­ry work focu­sed on extrac­ting sound from raw mate­ri­als. As col­la­bo­ra­tor and per­for­mer Inga has wor­ked with seve­r­al cho­re­o­grap­hers such as Eleanor Bauer, Salva Sanchis, Erna Ómarsdóttir, Rósa Ómarsdóttir and Veli Lehtoovaara. She has also been invol­ved in seve­r­al con­tem­po­ra­ry music pro­jects with the ensem­bles ICTUS and GAME.
